WHAT TO EXPECT AT WORKING CAPITAL FORUM EUROPE
Our theme for Working Capital Forum Europe 2024 is ‘Perfecting the cash-to-cash cycle,' and we'll examine how advances in the management and visibility of receivables, payables, and inventory can lead to substantial working capital gains.
These advances can come from better technology, establishing a ‘cash mindset’ across the organisation, working closely with banks and other funders, or a combination of these and more.
Expect to see sessions on every aspect of the cash-to-cash cycle, including:
• Payments: How tools such as supply chain finance, dynamic discounting and virtual cards can speed up payments to smaller suppliers and deliver working capital benefits
• Inventory: New ways of tackling the balance sheet pressures of 'just in case' inventory
• Receivables: Freeing up liquidity at scale with the latest innovations in receivables finance
• Streamlined processes: Why the time is right for automation and digitisation throughout the cash-to-cash cycle
• Cash Forecasting and Visibility: Who should be driving the cash culture in the organisation? What tools and platforms can provide full visibility of the entire cash-to-cash cycle?
As usual, we'll also be tackling the issues that are making headlines, including:
• New ESG reporting requirements and how they impact sustainability-linked supplier finance programmes.
• The EU Late Payment Directive - an update on progress, what this means for working capital management and advice on how to prepare for the changes when they arrive
• How Basel 4 will impact working capital finance: Will private equity fill the gap left by banks as credit decisions get tougher?
• Has the time arrived for AI to make an impact on working capital management?
• Using finance to protect supply chains through geopolitical disruption.
• How Trade Digitisation will impact working capital finance: can it open up new opportunities such as tokenisation?
Among this year's event innovations are:
• An enhanced online experience before and during the event allows attendees to set their availability in advance and use AI-driven scheduling tools to book meetings with other attendees seamlessly.
• An expanded technology demo stream, with live demos of platforms for receivables finance, dynamic discounting, cash forecasting and payables finance.
• 'Masterclass' sessions in which industry experts share their expertise in a tutorial style
• Bringing the Awards Dinner on 4th November into the Beurs van Berlage and giving more space for attendees to see the award-winning entries
Our full agenda will be released in July - register your interest to be kept up to date with new topics, sessions and speakers.
